Over twenty artists from Granada, including Lori Meyers, Eskorzo, Carmencita Calavera, and Cristalino, have joined the ‘Som València’ charity event, aiming to raise funds for communities impacted by the recent floodings in Valencia. This series of benefit concerts will take place across various Spanish cities from November 11 to 13, featuring artists covering a wide range of musical genres.

The event, initiated by Barcelona-based record label Hidden Track Records, has managed to gather over 200 musicians and industry professionals, along with concert venues and promoters from all over the country, in a a rapidly growing wave of solidarity with the people affected by the disaster. Confirmed cities include Barcelona, Burgos, Madrid, Lleida, Donosti, Girona, Murcia, Vic, Manresa, and Granada, among others still to be announced.

In Granada, the event will be held at two main venues:

Tickets are available on the DICE platform, which has announced it will not charge any transaction fees, ensuring that 100% of the funds collected reach those affected. Additionally, a “fila cero” (zero row) donation option has been enabled for those who wish to contribute beyond the ticket price. Funds will be transferred as they are received, given the urgency of the situation.

The Fundación Horta Sud, with over 50 years of experience in community work, will be responsible for ensuring that funds are distributed equitably to the worst affected communities. The official ‘Som València’ website will also provide ongoing updates on the events and funds raised.

The ‘Som València’ event has mobilized a broad network of solidarity across Spain. Other prominent national artists joining the cause include Amaral, Carolina Durante, Zahara, La Casa Azul, Baiuca, and Belén Aguilera, who will participate in benefit concerts in other cities.

This event has emerged as a significant solidarity movement within the music industry, aiming to support communities most in need following the devastation caused by the DANA.
