SMASHED2 ES UN HÍBRIDO ESCÉNICO EN EL MÁS PURO ESTILO DE DANZA-TEATRO CON EL QUE LA COMPAÑÍA BRITÁNICA HOMENAJEA A PINA BAUSH. UNA JOYITA QUE LANZA UNA MIRADA DIVERTIDA E INTELIGENTE SOBRE LAS TENSAS RELACIONES ENTRE HOMBRES Y MUJERES PROTAGONIZADA POR 9 INTÉRPRETES, 80 NARANJAS Y 7 SANDÍAS.

Desde su creación, Gandini Juggling ha protagonizado más de 6.000 funciones en 50

países, actuando en muchos de los teatros, instalaciones y festivales más prestigiosos del planeta. Éstos incluyen desde museos de arte contemporáneo en Francia a teatros de ópera en Alemania, teatros en el Líbano o carpas en Argentina. Han triunfado repetidamente en los mayores festivales de artes de calle del Reino Unido y en sus teatros más emblemáticos como The Royal Opera House, The English National Opera, The Royal National Theatre y Sadler’s Wells.

Para crear sus obras Gandini Juggling ha colaborado con un amplio abanico de pioneros que inicialmente formaron parte del equipo como la influyente bailarina y coreógrafa Gill Clarke. Hoy continúan bebiendo y dejándose influenciar por diversas disciplinas, incluidos, entre otros, compositores, coreógrafos de ballet, diseñadores de moda, programadores informáticos, diseñadores de sonido, escenógrafos y matemáticos. Han pasado varias temporadas trabajando con orquestas, coreografiando patrones malabares con composiciones clásicas y han comisionado música de los más importantes compositores contemporáneos para sus producciones, incluyendo Tom Johnson, Nimrod Borenstein y Gabriel Prokofiev.

Todo ello les ha conducido a crear un amplio abanico de espectáculos, entre ellos la divertida Sweet Life, la endiabladamente compleja celebración de los Juegos Paraolímpicos de Londres Twenty/Twenty, y el éxito global, homenaje a Pina Bausch, Smashed.

Smashed2, la creación con la que debutan en el Teatro Alhambra, es un cuento bufo de venganza y redención en el que juegan con la idea de las frutas como metáforas (la masacre de las sandías, el

trasfondo sexual de las naranjas…) con ecos del cine mudo y la bufonería.
