DANZA, 11 INTÉRPRETES, UN CANTO ANTIBELICISTA Y EL MAGISTERIO DEL BAILARÍN, DIRECTOR Y COREÓGRAFO CORDOBÉS PARA ALZAR, DE FORMA ESPECTACULAR, EL TELÓN DE ESTE NUEVO CURSO EN EL ALHAMBRA.

Lamentablemente, en la actualidad, hay más de diez conflictos bélicos activos en todo el mundo. La guerra nos acompaña desde el comienzo de las civilizaciones, está en la naturaleza humana el deseo y la ambición, lo que induce a la inseguridad colectiva y a la lucha.

Es un proceso brutal y peligroso pero que forma parte de nuestra especie. Civiles, informáticas, biológicas, nucleares, mundiales, santas, fronterizas, psicológicas, familiares, internas, con uno mismo, al fin y al cabo, guerras, y en cualquier momento sentimos que pueden estallar convirtiéndonos en guerreros o en víctimas.

Antonio Ruz funda en España, en 2009, su propia compañía, con un estilo característico abierto a las influencias internacionales. Las preocupaciones de sus obras son eclécticas: filosóficas, humanísticas, psicológicas o simplemente musicales. Todas se caracterizan por una poética que inunda sus movimientos.

Ahora llega al Teatro Alhambra con Pharsalia. Una propuesta escénica y de vestuario contundente y una creación musical original que viaja entre lo épico y lo electrónico, en la que los once intérpretes, transitan coreografías cargadas de violencia, sutileza y teatralidad lanzándose, con toda su fisicidad a una fiesta del combate. Cuerpos en guerra que evocan paisajes de una belleza extraña y a la vez cautivante.

En Pharsalia a través del poema de Lucano, el dolor se nos vuelve próximo y la palabra, un grito a favor de la paz de todos los pueblos que resuena de manera cercana, en gran medida, tras observar el lado más belicoso del hombre en las dos guerras mundiales del pasado siglo XX o, sin ir más lejos, en nuestra propia Guerra Civil. La Pharsalia es un poema de la derrota y la exaltación de sus víctimas que transmite un apasionado rechazo del despotismo. Junto al escritor he optado decididamente por el bando de los vencidos, que encarnan siempre la virtud.
