CON ÓRGIA, LA RARA SE ADENTRA VALIENTE, ESCLARECEDORA, ÚTILMENTE PARA TODOS NOSOTROS, LOS ESPECTADORES, EN EL VASTO MUNDO DE LA SALUD MENTAL, Y LO HACE CON PERSPECTIVA DE GÉNERO.

MUJER, HISTERIA, LOCURA, NORMA… SON TÉRMINOS QUE ESTE ESPECTÁCULO DESVISTE Y RESIGNIFICA.

ÓRGIA OBTUVO EL PREMIO LORCA DE LAS ARTES ESCÉNICAS EN ANDALUCÍA 2024 AL ESPECTÁCULO REVELACIÓN.

Órgia (orgia) en la antigua Grecia eran actos colectivos, ceremonias en las que una verdad espiritual iba a ser revelada. Al leer esta palabra nuestro imaginario común nos lleva a asociarla con lo carnal, actos sexuales en grupo y, de ahí, un sinfín de imágenes que inevitablemente nos asaltan y que están asociadas al uso que con la llegada del cristianismo se le empezó a dar al término. Las palabras están vivas, recurrir a lo etimológico es un viaje al pasado, a veces el sentido de éstas permanece, otras transmuta con el paso del tiempo y las sociedades. La locura, la histeria, la frenia, la inestabilidad, la norma, la mujer, son palabras que vamos a desvestir y a resignificar.

Eva, Nerea, Julia, Rocío y Elo, cinco mujeres de más de 40 años y de clase media, se asoman a la historia reciente de la salud mental y, tras ver los horrores que las precedieron, nos enseñan lo que les pasa a ellas ahora. No ignoran sus privilegios, pero saben que la conmoción acumulada durante cincuenta y siete días en estado de alarma, la confusión por haber llegado tarde a casi todo y la ansiedad que conlleva la autoexplotación permanente mientras sonríen, meten barriga y piden perdón, las están enfermando.

“Órgia” es un acto ecléctico que reúne historias de vidas secuestradas y maltrechas de mujeres que ya no lo pueden contar, relatos íntimos de quienes lo vivieron y quieren contarlo y una verbena de voces de mujeres ávidas de ser cuerpo, uno solo, y hacerlo saltar.
