En los cuatro años transcurridos desde la publicación de su primer single, “Te quiero (lejos)” (Casa Maracas, 2020), Las Dianas han perfeccionado su propuesta. Manteniendo intacta la espontaneidad y desenvoltura, han afinado la síntesis de pop corrosivo y punk de alta luminosidad que sostiene su punzante e irónico discurso.

Si en la resonancia mitológica de su nombre subyacen valores feministas, en su música toman forma clara.  Decididas a cambiar las cosas que no pueden aceptar, Las Dianas alertan sin ambages sobre la desigualdad entre hombres y mujeres, particularmente en la industria musical, y señalan que el momento de derribar al sistema sexista es precisamente ahora.

Con facilidad para la melodía pegadiza y el estribillo irresistible, se han hecho grandes reclamando sin afectación el respeto a la individualidad y el fin de los estigmas sociales, atendiendo al valor real de la diversidad, sustituyendo la frustración, la ansiedad y el descontento por electricidad, urgencia y un espíritu extraordinariamente vital, conmovedor y lúcido.

Siempre naturales y oportunas, más firmes en cada nuevo lanzamiento, su primer elepé, Lo que te pide el cuerpo (Casa Maracas, 2021), confirmó una seguridad y confianza inauditas en un grupo formado por chicas de entre dieciséis y veintiún años. Ya entonces exhibían arrojo y talento suficientes para versionar clásicos incontestables, de Alex Chilton y Julieta Venegas; revisitar con nuevo enfoque su composición más temprana en “Te quiero (aún más lejos)”, y compartir sencillo, “A ti qué te importa (Cumbia Manifesto pt. 1)”, con uno de los referentes de las nuevas músicas populares latinoamericanas, Instituto Mexicano del Sonido, el proyecto personal del agitador cultural mexicano Camilo Lara, irremediablemente seducido por las granadinas.

2002 y 2023 fueron consagrados al directo, con la excepción de “No controles”, relectura de una canción de Nacho Cano popularizada en 1983 por Olé Olé y recreada por artistas dispares, de Café Tacvba a Stereo Total. La llegada a México, a través de la plataforma de internacionalización musical Observatorio Transoceánico, impulsada por Fundación Gladys Palmera, con apoyo del Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte español y Radio Gladys Palmera, Indie Rocks o Last Tour como aliados, multiplica el alcance y trascendencia de Las Dianas, que en su gira de cuatro conciertos, se entregan a la colaboración con artistas emergentes locales.

En marzo de 2024 comienzan los anticipos del segundo álbum de las granadinas, previsto para el otoño, tres singles que extienden, ya de forma incontrolable, el entusiasmo por Las Dianas: “Síndrome del impostor”, otra de sus joyas de pop ácido; “Putivuelta”, suave crudeza, y “Me jode”, contra el adormecimiento y la flaccidez mental.

Jóvenes mujeres sabias, Las Dianas son hoy, en el estudio de grabación y el escenario, un grupo desenvuelto, preciso, rico en matices y en redefinición permanente, el grupo que quieres escuchar.
