LA LENGUA MADRE ES UN MONÓLOGO DEL GANADOR DEL PREMIO PLANETA, JUAN JOSÉ MILLÁS EN EL QUE PLANTEA CON EL HUMOR INTELIGENTE QUE LE CARACTERIZA TODO UN MUNDO ALREDEDOR DEL LENGUAJE. Y ES QUE LAS PALABRAS, COMO LA MAYORÍA DE LAS PERSONAS COMPLICADAS, LLEVAN UNA DOBLE VIDA.

En esta obra el público asistirá a una conferencia sobre la Lengua, hecho que no llegará a producirse ya que el conferenciante, interpretado por Juan Madrid, se dejará llevar por su amor a las palabras y por sus recuerdos, vamos que se irá por los cerros de Úbeda. Y también compartirá con el público sus miedos sobre la deriva que toma la lengua y el uso que se hace de ella, porque al final, tarde o temprano, lo que ocurre con las palabras ocurre con la vida.

¿Se imaginan que nos quedáramos sin nuestras palabras?, o ¿qué quedaran vacías de significado?

Formado como actor en el Centro de Artes Escénicas de Granada, ha estudiado con maestros de la talla de José Pedro Carrión, Augusto Fernandes, Francisco Ortuño y Fernando San Segundo, entre otros. Ya en Madrid estudió en Montacargas y Teatro de la Danza, con Luis Olmos, Amelia Ochandiano. Sigue su formación participando en talleres con Claudio Tolcachir, Silvina Savater y actualmente sigue participando en seminarios con Fernando Piernas.

Inicia su carrera en 1999 trabajando como actor en espectáculos de calle y clown en Andalucía. Ya en Madrid trabajó en el Teatro de la Zarzuela desde el 2003 en los montajes: Los gavilanes, La chulapona, dirigida por Gerardo Maya y La verbena de la Paloma, dirigida por Sergio Renán. Fundó su propia compañía Los Lunatics en 2007 con la que trabajó en Monólogos de la marihuana que superó las 200 representaciones teatrales y Las criadillas de Genet adaptación libre de la obra de Jean Genet Las criadas. Ha participado en más de veinte montajes teatrales destacando Clásicas Envidiosas con Martelache Teatro, con la que ha participado en los Festivales de Teatro Clásico de Almagro, Alcalá de Henares y Chinchilla.

Ha formado parte del reparto de distintos cortometrajes y del largometraje “Yo soy Mónica”, en televisión ha participado en Centro Médico, Las chicas del Cable y Serrines, madera de actor. Actualmente colabora con las compañías Martelache y Dilemek Teatro.

En 2023 funda Periférico Arrezú que inicia su andadura con el montaje La lengua madre.
