ALBERTO SAN JUAN Y LA BANDA

MACHO GRITA ES, EN PALABRAS DE ALBERTO SAN JUAN, LA CRÓNICA DE SU PROPIA CEGUERA SOBRE LA HISTORIA DE NUESTRO PAÍS.

GUITARRA, CONTRABAJO, SAXO, TECLADOS Y BATERÍA ACOMPAÑAN AL ACTOR MADRILEÑO EN ESTE FENOMENAL DERROCHE DE FACULTADES ESCÉNICAS.

Macho grita es una comedia musical que parte del mito de Don Juan para indagar en la relación entre nuestro presente y el ciclo que inaugura el año 1492. Un acercamiento personal a la “Reconquista”, al “descubrimiento de América” o a la expulsión de los judíos y los moriscos, para pensar con humor cómo se construye “lo Macho” en este territorio.

Nace del deseo de asomarme a la historia invisible (o invisibilizada) de España, con la pequeña esperanza de entender cosas que sirvan para la vida hoy, cuando la voluntad de dominio y el afán depredador sobre los que hemos construido nuestras sociedades amenazan con liquidarnos.

Macho grita es la crónica de mi propia ignorancia sobre la Historia de España.

Alberto San Juan

Alberto San Juan. Fundador de la compañía Animalario e impulsor del proyecto Teatro del Barrio. Alberto San Juan es actor, director, autor… Entre sus últimos montajes teatrales destacan: ‘Lorca en Nueva York’, ‘Lectura fácil’ (director), ‘Mundo obrero’, ‘Masacre’, ‘El rey’, ‘Autorretrato de un joven capitalista español’…

La banda

Claudio de CasasGuitarra, miembro de bandas históricas como Las Ruedas o La Frontera, también ha colaborado con grupos como Los Ronaldos, Los Toreros o Racalmuto. En teatro, ha colaborado en los últimos proyectos de Alberto San Juan, como Lorca en Nueva York.

Pablo Navarro. Contrabajo, miembro de la banda de Nacho Mastretta, Augusto Bracho, Racalmuto y Ombligo. En teatro, ha colaborado en los últimos proyectos de Alberto San Juan, como Lorca en Nueva York.

Miguel Malla. Saxo y teclado. Licenciado por el Real Conservatorio Sweelinck de Ámsterdam, ha actuado y grabado con Racalmuto, Mastretta, Los Ronaldos, Coque Malla, Miguel Bosé, Fito y Fitipaldis, Josele Santiago, La Frontera, Marlango, El Sueño de Morfeo… En teatro, ha participado en musicales como ‘Billy Elliot’ o ‘Más de cien mentiras’ y en ‘Lorca en Nueva York’, junto a Alberto San Juan.

Gabriel Marijuan. Batería. Formado en el Taller de músicos de Madrid y el Taller de músics de Barcelona, acompaña y graba con artistas como: Tonino Carotone, Josele Santiago, Andy Chango, Christina Rosenvinge, Nacho Mastretta, David Gwynn, Rubén Pozo y Lichis, Chumi Chuma o Racalmuto. En teatro, ha colaborado con Alberto San Juan en proyectos como El rey, Mundo obrero, Lorca en Nueva York y Lectura Fácil.
